Testimonials

Trisha Doverspike

There is so much that I love about CRP! I think the draw for the campers is that they have the ability to choose what they want to do. ... They have freedom to just run around and be kids. I love that CRP was a huge part of my childhood, and I get to share that with my kids now.

We provide a safe place for kids to play and learn about God. I especially saw it last year when I was the game room area director; I enjoyed playing games with the kids, because they always bring energy to playing. I have also enjoyed seeing kids growing up from when I first had them on the playground five years ago.

I am amazed at the impact a sanctuary in such a chaotic world can have on a child…. CRP represents a place where they can come to be safe, active, and uplifted by the message of

God’s grace, worth found in Jesus’ sacrifice, and strength in the blessing of the Holy Spirit.

FAQ

How is each day organized?

A “typical” day starts with registration and a welcome from CRP staff. The first period of activities lasts for about an hour, after which kids are divided by ages for devotions. Another hour of activities follows. Kids are ready for pickup at noon.

For our activities, we take advantage of Gospel Fellowship’s church building – its indoor gym, game room, kitchen, and classroom space – as well as its 85-acre grounds, including a soccer field, baseball field, softball field, playground, outdoor pavilion, creek (only for supervised play!) and much more.

Our regular activities include: kickball, baseball, softball, football, soccer, capture the flag, fireball, 9-square, volleyball, archery, arts and crafts, board games, billiards, ping pong, air hockey, foosball, golf, playground fun, special events and more.

In addition to all this, some days are highlighted by special events like water days and gold rush. We also offer some extra activities like camp-outs, trips to Moraine State Park and Living Treasures Animal Park (minimal cost involved), CRP Sunday, and picnics.

How much does CRP cost?

CRP has been a free ministry for over 60 years! All are welcome, with no obligation to pay or contribute.

Some extra activities, such as camp-outs and trips to Moraine State Park and Living Treasures Animal Park, have a small fee.

Those who wish to financially support this ministry are free to do so. Donations are accepted online through Gospel Fellowship’s donation page or the CRP registration page. Checks should be payable to Gospel Fellowship Presbyterian Church, with 'CRP' in the memo.

Is there a dress code?

We ask that your child is modestly dressed for an active day.  For safety, no jewelry should be worn during sporting events. A change of clothes is required to participate in Water Days.

Are electronic devices (phones, tablets, etc.) allowed?

All electronic devices and phones should be kept at home.  Staff and Church phones can be used by campers with permission when necessary. Gospel Fellowship is not responsible for lost, broken or stolen personal items.

Is transportation available?

Organized bus transportation is not currently offered, but transportation may be available on a case-by-case basis. Please contact the CRP director (contact information is on registration form).
